The album began during the pandemic, with the band members forced to collaborate remotely, and the producer jokes that “ideas had to be realized via Zoom.” The recording involved Marshall amps modified by master Eddie Van Halen, as well as a rack of guitars from scene veterans, including Hetfield’s very own guitar for fast riffs.

While the album doesn’t offer any radical revelations or revolutionary ideas, it leaves a pleasant impression.
