Events and concerts in the UAE: what to visit when planning a vacation in the Emirates?

Tickets for events and concerts in the UAE are a unique chance to attend concerts of world-famous stars, as well as various sports competitions.

On May 23, Guns N’Roses will give a concert at the Mohammed Abdu Arena as part of the band’s world tour. The name of this group came from the merger of the names of two other rock bands, whose musicians decided to unite into a new group. The debut album of the new group, Appetite for Destruction (1987), almost immediately went platinum, bringing the outrageous group worldwide fame and an army of fans. Guns N’ Roses’ style combines different genres and cultures: hard rock, heavy metal and blues.

From June 11 to 22, the musical MAMMA MIA! awaits you at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The production, based on the hits of the legendary group ABBA, tells a story about love, friendship and family ties. The plot revolves around young Sophie, who, on the eve of her wedding, tries to find out which of the three men is her father. Over the 25 years of its existence, the musical has staged more than 50 productions in 16 languages and played in more than 450 major cities, making it one of the most popular and sought-after performances in history! In 2008, the musical was adapted into a film, which became the highest-grossing musical film in history. The show's producer, Judy Kramer, will bring the production to Abu Dhabi.

On June 13, Jesse Cook will perform in Dubai, at the Zabeel Theatre - Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The Canadian guitarist is a brilliant performer of flamenco and rumba. He has toured with many legends of music, including Ray Charles. At a young age, he studied at the Elie Kassner Guitar Academy in Canada. In an effort to expand his experience, he returned to France and Spain, seeking out flamenco masters from Andalusia, Cordoba, Granada and Madrid, who later reflected in his virtuoso work as a guitarist. Cook's composition "Mario Takes a Walk" was used by our figure skater Irina Slutskaya in her performance at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where the girl deservedly finished with "bronze".
