Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Apparently, they found the original title, Metal Up Your Ass, and the provocative cover too provocative. It was Burton who gave the band the idea for the new title, Kill ‘Em All. Although the first album was not a commercial or financial success, it helped them find their audience. "Kill 'em all" defined a completely new genre of heavy rock - thrash metal.

As the band's popularity grew, it became clear that Johnny Zazula was no longer able to support them financially. The second album was called "Ride the lightning" and was recorded in Denmark in 1984. The budget was 30,000 dollars, and the record was a success. Thanks to the hype they created on stage, they gained simply incredible popularity, and their record sold well.

But real fame came with the third collection, "Master of puppets", and the singles from it were not played on the radio, and all the PR came from live performances, and as a result, the album sold a million copies in record time. Oblivion was no longer a threat to the band. Ahead there will be many years of creativity, eleven full-length albums, millions of fans around the world, countless musical tours.
