On December 3, the legendary band Metallica will perform at the Al Dana Amphitheater in Zallaq, Bahrain.
The Al Dana Amphitheatre is a unique venue carved directly into the rock of the picturesque Sakhir Desert. The amphitheatre seats ten thousand spectators and has outstanding natural acoustics. The seats, located on the stone ledges, offer a panoramic view of the stage, making this place ideal for rock concerts.
Founded in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Metallica quickly gained popularity in the thrash metal genre. Today, this Los Angeles band remains one of the most famous rock bands in history, having sold over sixty million albums in the United States alone.
Since its inception, the band has stood out for its unique sound, which contrasted with the then popular glam rock of Los Angeles and San Francisco. However, in the early stages of the band's existence, internal conflicts between the members arose. In addition to the founders, bassist Ron McGovney and guitarist Dave Mustaine joined the band. As a result of the lineup changes, Cliff Burton appeared, who made a key contribution to the development of the band due to his musical education and influence on Hetfield.
In 1983, Metallica moved to San Francisco, the center of the emerging metal movement in the United States, where the band quickly gained popularity. Their debut album, Kill 'Em All, marked the beginning of a new direction in heavy rock - thrash metal. Along with such bands as Slayer, Anthrax and Mustaine's Megadeth, they became pioneers of the genre.
The band's second album, Ride the Lightning, became a landmark for thrash metal and brought the band huge success. Thirty million US dollars were spent on its creation. The band's third album, Master of Puppets, was a breakthrough: it sold millions of copies without the support of radio or videos, and the band toured extensively with Ozzy Osbourne.
Metallica have released eleven studio albums in their career and continue to fill stadiums around the world with thousands of people. Their winter show promises to be another epic show that can't be missed. Producer Jon Zazula once said of the band: "Metallica is the answer to America's prayers."
Al Dana Amphitheater tickets provide a unique opportunity to hear a living legend perform at one of the most impressive venues in the world!
