Enrique was born into a family of famous parents: his father is the legendary Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, and his mother is the famous Filipino TV presenter and socialite Isabel Preysler. Enrique has citizenship in Spain, the United States and the Philippines. He has achieved incredible success, surpassing his relatives in popularity and financial well-being. He borrowed money from his nanny to record a demo tape with two songs in English and one in Spanish. At the beginning of his career, he performed under the pseudonym Enrique Martinez, indicating on the cover that he was from Guatemala.
