The musical "Matilda", the award-winning Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) musical inspired by Roald Dahl's favorite book, will appear before the Dubai Opera audience from October 3 to 12, 2023.
The script of the musical was written by Dennis Kelly, and the original songs were written by Tim Minchin. The musical "Matilda" is the story of an extraordinary girl, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, who dared to take responsibility for her fate.
Winner of more than 99 international awards, including 24 awards for the best musical, "Matilda" has been performed in London for the twelfth year, continuing to delight audiences of all ages.
"Matilda" is directed by Tony Award winner Matthew Warchus (author of the play "God of Slaughter"), who directs this production with a script by Tony Award-winning playwright Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.
The sets and costumes were created by Tony Award winner Rob Howell, choreography is handled by Tony Award winner Peter Darling, orchestration, additional music and musical direction are handled by Tony Award winner Christopher Nightingale, light - Tony Award winner Hugh Vanston, sound - Simon Baker, illusions - Paul Kiv.
