Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex

Located in Bawshar, a part of Oman’s capital Muscat, the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex is the country’s largest sports facility. Named after Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, who ruled Oman from 1970 to 2020, the multi-purpose stadium can accommodate up to 34,000 spectators. Opened in 1985, it is home to the Oman national football team and a number of local clubs. It hosts not only football matches, including the Gulf Cup, but also other sports, city-wide and national events.
