Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will meet in the ring again in December of this year

The first twelve-round fight for the absolute world heavyweight champion title took place on May 18, 2024, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. It was between Ukrainian WBA Super, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring champion Oleksandr Usyk and British WBC champion Tyson Fury. In that fight, the "Gypsy King" lost to the Ukrainian heavyweight. After the victory, Usyk gave up the championship belt, giving a chance to Joshua and Dubois.

In the first fight, Usyk won by split decision. Tyson Fury, known for his scandalous antics, even came to the press conference with Klitschko dressed as Batman. He is not shy about performing offensive songs in the ring and harassing his opponents on social networks. Before the upcoming rematch, Fury has already stated his confidence in victory. However, many believe that Usyk, despite the difficulties in his country, is capable of defeating the daring "Gypsy King" again. Usyk is known for his discipline: he carefully monitors his diet and trains in the gym. While Fury has been seen drunk in bars more than once, which the boxer's representatives explain by a long break from drinking alcohol. Problems with addictions and psychological breakdowns make him an unstable fighter.

Usyk is also no stranger to controversy and new ambitions, be it conflicts with the police, plans to pursue an acting career, or a desire to try himself in MMA. However, the athletes have not yet shown hostility towards each other on social networks. Perhaps they are focused on preparing in solitude, or the rematch is not as important to them as their fans believe. In December it will become clear whether Fury can take revenge for his past defeat.
